Midwest Paint and Stain is a locally owned painting, staining, and exterior services company based in Rapid City, South Dakota. This policy explains what information we collect when you contact us, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

The short version: we collect the contact information you give us so we can get back to you about an estimate. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone outside of what it takes to run our business.

Information we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us. Depending on how you reach out, that may include:

• Your phone number
• Your email address
• Your ZIP code, address, or the location of the property you would like us to look at
• Any details you type into a message about the work you need done

You may give us this information through the estimate form on this website, by calling or texting us, by emailing us, or by filling out an estimate form attached to one of our ads on Facebook or Instagram.

Estimate forms on Facebook and Instagram

We sometimes run ads on Facebook and Instagram that include a built-in form where you can request an estimate without leaving the app. When you submit one of those forms, Meta passes the contact information you provided directly to us so that we can follow up with you.

Information you submit through a Meta form is also handled according to Meta's own privacy policy, which you can read at facebook.com/privacy/policy. We only receive what you submit on the form.

How we use your information

We use the information you give us to:

• Contact you about the estimate or service you asked about
• Schedule a visit, provide a quote, and perform the work
• Answer your questions and follow up on work we have done
• Keep our own records of jobs and customers

That is the whole list. We do not add you to a marketing list or send you promotional messages unless you have asked us to.

Calls and text messages

If you give us your phone number when requesting an estimate, you are agreeing that we may call or text you at that number about your request. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply. You can tell us to stop contacting you at any time by replying STOP to a text, or by simply telling us over the phone or by email — we will honor it.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information, and we never have.

We share information only where it is necessary to operate:

• Service providers who help us run the business — for example, the company that delivers our website form submissions to our inbox, or our email provider. They may only use the information to provide that service to us.
• When the law requires it — for example, in response to a valid legal request.

Website analytics and advertising

This website uses Google Analytics to understand basic, anonymous information about how people find and use the site — things like which pages get visited and roughly what part of the country visitors come from. We may also use advertising tools from Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to measure how well our ads perform and to show our ads to people in the Black Hills area. If we use these tools, they may set cookies in your browser. How long we keep it

We keep customer and estimate records for as long as we need them to serve you and to keep accurate business records. If you asked for an estimate and never became a customer, you are welcome to ask us to delete your information and we will.

• Ask us to correct it if it is wrong
• Ask us to delete it
• Ask us to stop contacting you

Our services and this website are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
